Who is Ms. Tseng?
My name is Serena Tseng, and I have been an EFL teacher for 15 years. For more than 12 years, I have been employed as a permanent teacher at Wenhua Elementary School in Taipei, where students affectionately refer to me as Teacher Serena. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it's my passion and enthusiasm. My goal as an educator is to inspire as many students as possible on their learning journey.
To achieve this, I strive to create a comfortable learning environment and develop innovative and engaging activities that captivate my students' interest. I am dedicated to fostering a love for learning and helping my students reach their full potential. Additionally, I am always eager to collaborate and exchange pedagogical methodologies with fellow teachers from around the world. Let's inspire and empower each other to make a difference in education.

Serena can perform!
I am dedicated to incorporating performance into my teaching. I strongly believe that students can naturally acquire English when they enjoy watching a show or, even better, acting it out themselves! I love teaching my students how to act. I often use mini-scripts, which may be adapted from textbook content or designed specifically for different holidays like Halloween or Christmas.

I served as the head of English Summer Camps from 2019 to 2023, collaborating with five foreign teachers and two local teachers to accomplish our goals. Students greatly enjoyed learning from our well-designed and innovative summer camps.

Online Bilingual Teaching

I was invited to be an online bilingual teacher for Taipei CooC-Cloud (台北酷課雲) starting in 2020. I designed multiple bilingual courses covering topics such as moral lessons (empathy, forgiveness, anti-bullying), safety issues in various locations (home, school, park), and horoscopes, among others.
